Yesterday evening at around 8pm, anyone?

Seemed to be a sort of metallicy blue grey colour, i think, and i can't be sure but i think it sported the double sunroof (either that or a roofrack). I'm not 100% on it being a 4x4, but it had that slightly squat, high up look about it.
Pretty immaculate looking too!

I almost crashed - such a rare sight!!

I was down there at the same time in a metallic blue MK2 with double sunroof???...

Ah, maybe it was you. It's just i could have sworn the number plate started with a 'B', and again i'm almost as sure the rear number plate was mounted on the boot lid a la a Mk1 (rather than under it). But i could be mistaken as it was such a fleeting sighting (i was going the other way).

It was the marsh road between Eastbourne and Hastings, on the bit just near what was that Bungalow Cafe place.

Are you from this neck of the woods then?

I'm from just outside east grinstead...but often go for a drive around sussex and kent...
