Has anybody else had this problem? Accelleration seems normal until 2000rpm, when the turbo would normally take noticable effect. From there on it's got very similar side effects to the dreaded EGR valve problem. The main difference is that there is no "swishing" sound from the turbo (I think I remember the turbo still valiantly trying when the EGR went?!)

If you've had the turbocharger problem what was the sollution? It seems from other threads on this forum that the range is anything from a new turbo to a new jubilee clamp.

Any help with futher diagnosis would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Chris

Thanks for that - whilst under the car I happened to notice a nice big, gaping hole in one of the pipes connected to the turbo. Would never have seen it if I hadn't, in a moment of clumsy oafishness, dropped my torch into the engine bay... This has been repaired and all is fine!
