I see the Punto HGT has a trip computer which I assume (making an ass out of u and me both) is in the ECU (Same as the Barchetta unit) to read temps, fuel burn etc so would it be possible to fit a trip computer in the B? If so where are the signal takes offs?

I have my original B engine, wiring loom and ECU crated in the shed and somebody who is keen to buy for a Punto HGT rebuild / upgrade project..His Punto had a fire and the electrics are shot. One of his thoughts is will his electronic dash work given the amount of gear lifted from the B.

Help!

These is a lot of wiring under the bonnet of the Punto HGT. I doubt there is much in common with the Barchetta wiring, other that possibly the basic engine functions. HGT has a fuel flow meter and the maths is sone in the instrument head.

Anything / everything is possible but I doubt your 'B' wiring loom is a plug & go system. More like a plug & play, plug & pray and many hours of debug and custom connections required.
