Hi was wondering if anyone could help. I jus bought a punto mk1 M reg for £500 51,000 miles (seems a bit low) but it doesn't have a rev counter or temp gauge, it only has fuel gauge and a speedo. A friend at work said that i could buy a new instrument cluster with rev.counter and speedo and plug it in where the old one went and it should work is this right?????

Also i just put coolant in my engine and i think it broke the fan cos i doesn't spin at all even when its hot but it worked before i put the coolant in.

Any ideas????

Mk2 punto plugs right in but from what I've heard you can't do that on a mk1.

no mk1 are not a straight swop :( it can be done though but you need to check out wiring diagram an re-wire the plugs, you could fit diffrent tempature sendor and fit aftermarket tempature gauge though.

did you replace coolent like it says in the haynes manual? if not you proubly have an air lock,

also have a look down the list of forums you will see there is are some just for puntos :)
