I know this question most prob has been ask b4 loads of time so sorry
but my speedo doesn't work everything else works ie: rev counter fuel gauge all the warning lights just no speedo what is the most common to fail the speedo head or the wire thing that gose in to gearbox is there any way to test without getting too technical oh its a 16v R reg by the way and it aint got a speedo cable it's electric( only mentioned that cos I get people keep saying ya speedo cable is broke, so I am not insulting anyone's intelligence) any help would be great

It's likely to be the speed sensor (down by the diff) or the wiring or connector.

Thanks fingers are those sensors hard to get out

Not that difficult. But do clean up the connector first -- with the snow and salt there's a good chance that that's the problem.
