I'm looking for a set of 185/55/14 R888 tryes.

Does anyone know of any Cheap retailers or sites to order from?

Are these any good for road use, as I really don't trust my nankang sport tyres (They grip but not as well as I would like.)

they are not really ment for everyday road use, just legal so you can drive to track day on them. if you keep them on they wont last long. t1r are the better toyo for everyday use

Yea at the mo i'm running 195 60 14. Monster truck tyres, they do rub on the inner arch liner but only over bumps.

It's not that often she gets used, shes only used for social pleasures. Hopefully track days and shows soon.

There is -- you need to ask -- a cheap tyre contact on the other side (ClubCento). Specialises, IIRC, in Maragonis, but can get other stuff at a big discount.

If you're running 6J wheels, 195/45/14 Uniroyal Rainsports are very difficult to beat on a cost/grip/suit the car basis.

what price would they get? just paying £20 to find out may wipe out any savings

Better than that.

185/55/14s -- to return to the point -- won't really suit a track day car (raise the gearing far too high) 185/50 or 195/45 (even 195/40 but take it very easy over potholes!) a much better choice.

I'll bare that in mind . Tempted to re-drill the holes for the inner arch liner and move it further up into the arch. then it will only rub on lock .

What are these maragonis tyres? Never heard of them before....

Should be Marangoni. Italian made Zeta Linea is the performance option. They don't come in anything smaller than 15", though............
