i have just bought a spoiler that isnt in my colour so am going to sand it and spray it but i dont know how much paint im going to need, i intend on doing it with cans. cheers

I used about 3/4 of a can for a mk2 sporting spoiler, that was with 3 good coats. Then used about the same again from a can of laquer...

you dont want to be applying it too thickly anyway, anymore than a can is overkill imo.

EDIT: how big are your cans?

okay so far i have sanded it down, 5 hours! got it down to the white all over. then ive used a whole 500ml can of primer and tonight i am going to spray it with a 400ml can. i have a 400ml can of lacqer too.

let me know how this goes... i know matching paint colours in a pain in the arse...

All done, I didnt need all the paint in the end, and it hasn't come up too bad. The paint colour match is pretty poor tho, its much darker than the car but ive got it fitted ended up using no more nails flexible. seems to be stuck okay. will get some pics up tomorrow.
