I am due to collect my new fiat 500 tomorrow.
Informed insurers on Friday and they allegedly sent out the certificate first class then. It has still not arrived.(today is Monday)

Insurers (Elephant) also faxed a cover note to dealer but dealer says it is unacceptable on account of it having FAXED COPY written on it.

Elephant say they do not fax them out in any other format.

Is the dealer talking tripe?

As it stands I can only collect the car tomorrow if and when the insurance certificate arrives in the post.

Can anyone advise?https://www.fiatforum.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

Well your insurance company is most probably based in england, so when they posted it , it would be dealt with english royal mail, which arent working today, so guess it would arrive tomorrow morning

Hmmm, maybe Scottish post is better than we get down here in London. I reckon that if it is in the post then anytime before Christmas would be a miracle!

Hang On! Humptybob says he is with Elephant. Aren't they all on-line so he could go back to their website and print out the certificate so it won't have "faxed copy" stamped all over it?
