can you only get these things from main dealers??????

I came to a similar conclusion when I couldn't find a mk1 one in Halfords. I ended up just getting the refill type tha you cut to size and just replaced teh actual wiper rubber, not the arm as well. It's a bit fiddly but if you buy one that's really long, you'll get two out of it!!!
