Hi i"ve got a problem, i"m changing the timing belt on my fiat ducato motor home, got the covers off,and sussed out the timing marks(i think, one on fly wheel, pin in in pump, and mark on cam pulley) i"ve had a 36mm socket on the crank bolt and a crow bar in the starter ring, and cant move the bloody thing,i"m assuming its a normal left hand thread, is it possibly right hand ? the engine is a 2.5 TD type 2144.21,think its a soffim engine, fitted in my 1987 hymer motor home, any help would be appreciated, cheers denis.

Try wedging the socket bar against the ground and giving the engine a quick filck with the starter. That should be enough to loosen the bolt.
Keep well,
Torq

cheers,Torq it worked a treat, the way is now open,:)(y)providing i get the pulleys off OK and fix the water leak that appeared since i loosened engine mounting (part of water pump) thanks again
