There is no markings on my oil dip stick how can i tell if theres to lil or to much

Hi, the dipstick on mine has an area about an inch in size at the bottom of it to check the level so i presume the oil should measure about an inch up the dipstick if yours hasnt any markings

if there are no markings on your dipstick it must not be the correct one. go and get the right one at a scrapyard, or firstly check very carefully there are no marks on yours.
