hi there. we have a sporting 8v 1.6 1996.have just had a new exhaust fitted from cat pipe back as the one fitted was an exhaust for a 1.1 punto!!sounded like was blowing and was actually too short in the middle pipe connection!!
anyway we have had the following problems before this being done;
1) car was heating up and having airlock.cured this by using advise from on here.perforemed a complete darin and flush and all was ok until today when car tried to get too hot again.fan kicks on but on short burst when idling and staionary.have rebled system and at moment seems ok.
2) the red injection light intermittently comes on and then goes off.when on the idle and respnse is not good ;uses a lot of petrol too.have also found that if car is fully laden the light goes out!!! aaghh!!!!
3) we had a diagnostic chap come out and he could not find any faults.we clled him out prior to all above as car was driven to a sports hall and then would not start.breakdown suggested crankshaft fault or mobile telephoone mast interfering with the remote??has not done this since.

i know this eems like an essay but if someone can see a common denominator for the problems so far would be greatly appreciated
