Well here it is almost a year later and i am still in the process of getting this 79 Fiat on the road. I ran into this deal last year and started redoing alot of it but it had set for many years. The brakes are all done and i did get it running. This is where the question comes in. I was driving it and it died, I killed it when shifting, and it was totally dead no starter click or nothing. battery was good lights and accessories all worked, so i push started it and it ran. My thoughts were the starter, wrestled it out and bench tested it, it tested out ok. So i put it all back together and nothing, but i still can push start it. Any ideas for me to check??? Still kinda new to the Fiat world. Thanks for the help. I attached a picture of the shape I found it in before i started on it. DSC02712.JPG

I used a voltage tester and it seems as if I am getting the same amount of power to the starter as what the battery is putting out.
