interesting video,don't like the way they rev the bo***x off of them though.
We run them in after they've been pushed right up the rev limit by them.

That shows you there is absolutely no point in being gentle with a new 5OO for the first X amount of miles!
I thought that one of them had a "flashing mileage" fault already but on closer look it was the clock. :doh:
So if my steering wheel turns up dirty I know some bloke has been racing it round the factory then! ha ha

So half the mileage on your 500 when it arrives has been done on the rev limiter

That would make sense as it is more likely the Poles will be driving them in this country as they are all over here earning good enough money to buy a 500.

valves are so accurately cut they don't need to be ground into place and simply rely on hammer action to seat them fully

You don't need to run them in.
