Apparantly I've managed to buckle the left front wheel on my 1.9 Sporting.
It must have happened when I hit a big pot hole about a week ago. I did notice some vibration in the steering at high speed after the incident but passed it off as my balance or allignment being thrown out as it all looked ok when I inspected the tyre etc.
Anyway driving home from work at about 11pm and had a flat tyre. Pulled over and gave the fix and go compressor kit a go but to no avail. Ended up getting the car towed due to no spare wheel and am informed the next day that my wheel is buckled. Tyre shop says that they can repair the wheel and I need a new tyre as well. Will be without my car for about a week.
Pulled over on the side of the road at 11pm after a hard days work trying to get the fix and go kit to work was not my idea of a good Friday night. Has anyone successfully used the fix and go kit? Also have any of you with a sporting put a spare wheel in? I'm thinking now that this is probably a good idea. Why is it that Fiat didn't include a spare wheel in this model? If anyone has any experience with retrofitting a spare wheel, mounting the jack and accesories etc. could they please share their experiences as I think that is the path that I want to go down.
