After replacing a tyre I had the tracking check, or should I say the garage tried to check it but told me it had seized on one side. I came out needing to replace the tracking rod and steering colon.m Can this be right? Or am I being conned?

Confused....
Can anyone clarify that this might in fact be the truth?

seems a con to me, they can check it even if it was seized, only have trouble adjusting it

Think it will need adjusted so still unsure, probably best to let someone I trust look at it rather than the high st chain mechanics I got the tyre from!

tis a con. or youve had some numpty who only knows how to change tyres have a look at it.

you have the tyre dun at a place like kwik fit or a proper garage?

and track rod ends are quet easy to unseize in my experience, just takes alot of grunt and fire.
