Just took my Mk1 (95) Punto to the garage to get the timing sorted out (its been pulling to the left) and apparently the right(I think he said right!) front shocker has gone/going.He's quoted £80 to sort it out,just wondering if anyone knows if this is about right or is it worth ringing around a bit more.

£80 dont sound too bad but i think you could probly get cheeper.

My hubby is a mechanic and he sujests replacing both at the same time as if one has gone the other is likely to go B)

£80 sounds about right as well

U said u went to get ur timing checked cos it was pulling left? do u mean tracking? i assume so!
Is the car lowered at all if not then i might be worth gettin that job done while things are wearing save doing it twice!

if your short of cash go to breakers about £10-£20 for the shock and spring all built up, once the wheels off its only 4 bolts to remove, takes about 1/4 hour to do,

wow £80 for a shock they were £30 a corner on my cavalier. are mk 2 punto shocks a simalr price?
