it's a joke. since the free bus passes started bus prices have now gone through the roof. it's £1.45 for a single to town, which is only 3 miles away. if it wasn't for the free bus passes no one would use them much and then they'd be forced to reduce fares. but instead they can continue to line their pockets. so if anyone who isn't lucky enough to be over 60 has to use a bus it costs a lot more!
its council tax which pays for the bus pass too. so people living in places such as weston will be paying for all the brummies days out to the seaside etc.
