I have recently purchased an R Reg Black Fiat Punto 60s as my first car, and just yesterday got the new Sony Xplod MP40 CD Tuner but the speakers that came with the car are awful. Is it possible to fit Sony Xplod speakers into where the original speakers are currently?, I don't want to fit speakers into the parcel shelf.

not sure about your car specifically - but speakers normally come in standard sizes so take one of the current ones out and see what size it is - then see if sony do xplod's in the same size

yeh they have grills, the speakers aren't actually that bad quality its just that they make a nasty humming noise and they are not v. powerful. I'll ask at my local garage.

Get yours Haynes manual out, and that should tell you how to remove the current speakers.
You may have to take your door cards off, but their just a couple of screws.

The speaker slots only fit 4" speakers so i may have to just fit 6x9's into the parcel shelf. Does anybody know where i can get a wooden parcel shelf to buy or is it best to go to a carpenter and get one made out of MDF or something?
