I like Ronin because you can recognise the cars unlike the usual american rubbish!

Helz: the thing is I am quite poor so have to look out for the best value and that is usuaully renting the odd DVD. I only buy when the cost of the DVD is little more than the cost of the rental ~ £2.50. Often on ebay this is true but not always.

Lovepug, last time i tried suprnova and bit torrent it wasn't free anymore...?

Jap ver of Ring is soooooooooo superior to the US remake.

Speaking of Jap / Asian horror, has anyone seen 'The Eye' or 'Dark Water'?

Helz, Dark Water is definitely worth getting if you liked Ringu. Have u seen Ring 2? That's just as good as the first.

I have to agree with the italian job, refused to rent it the other day when I read the blurb, what rubbish!

I couldn't say, went to get it but looked awful when I read the blurb, complete American remake set in NY (i think), just thought, what's the point...why ruin such a great film *in my head* by watching the "modern remake".

Instead got out "The Hitcher II - I've been waiting for you" not bad considering it's a sequel, liked the original and it wasn't ruined but followed a similar story line. At least it kept the original structure to heart...

Having said this, please remember I haven't seen IJ 2 so can't review it.

Saw Taxi 2 again last night...still love those handbrakes, quite hard to believe from a 206!!

Id have to say my favourite would have to be Pulp Fiction just for the "Oh, I'm sorry...Did I break your concentration" scene, or Reservoir Dogs generally

Tom (AofB)

GrpN Catback Exhaust system on...rattles like f**k, but very nice!!!

and taxi 3... but then again maybe i'm on about a different film, coz the ones i know had a 406....

speaking of bad remakes, has anyone seen the Stallone version of Get Carter?

Jaws, awsome film, very tense despite the rubber shark! Also the Star Wars trilogy, Schindlers List, Bram Stockers Dracula, oh god its so hard to name them!

1987 126 FSM, 12" minilight style wheels, clear rear lights, smoked indicators.
2004 Panda Eleganza.... nice!

I also have to agree that 'the green mile' was truly amazing - brought me to tears quite a few times did that. I also loved the original 'Italian Job' and don't really wish to see the remake as I don't think it could have the same spirit TBH. On this vein, I'm sick tired and fedup with all of world history and entertainment being americanised just so they 'get it' - it's actually scary that people learn their history from films that 'twist' history to make it look like the US is always the victor. Grrrrrrrrr [:(!]

Surprised they didn't turn Pearl HarboUr around to be a victory, although maybe that is beyond the yankees! ;)
