I had noticed the spelling, but did not mention as I am not a big believer in all that stuff, up until the C19 you spelt however you liked and so long as you were understood no one gave a ... and I think things are better that way. There is a character in the Tempest called Arial, and that is how you spell that, when you have a device for receiving or transmitting radio signals it is an aerial here in England( no disrespect to other bits of the UK, they can speak for themselves) and I always use that word and spell it like that. When you put one on a circuit diagram you can note ae next to it to identify what the little twig symbol is. I never use antenna, which the Americans do as that is something you find on an insect’s head in my opinion. I also know why it is ae but will spare you that. Finally, I am NOT a schoolteacher!
