Just thinking, a whole paper is really hard to do from scratch,

but i have an idea

Whats everyone's opinion on a Forum wide newsletter, once monthly, sent out to all forum users inboxes

This will have updates from the forum mods, and inform people about:

Events, reminders of up and coming events, and links to their pages.

Projects, if someone is in the process of an ambitious project, it can keep users up to date with it.

Forum News,

Birthdays & special occasions (babies, marriage etc)

Fiat news (for example fiat's new punto stamps)

wow this seems much more feesable and good for the forum and the community, as not everyone uses the "new posts" feature, and it will get people much more involved in Forum events.

What do you think, who knows, if it goes well, and really takes off, maybe it'll escalate and we could make it a phisical paper.

A special on most availible fiats would be good and a section called "Home-made" would be good

What about Forza fiat?

I would be happy to be a writer, It has always been my dream (currently writing a novel so big articles don't scare me).

If we do make a fiat mag we have to have a staff car section like the classic car mags have. I love reading those sections.

I doubt we would be short of material.

Exaclty, i really like the idea of a forum newsletter, nice email with everything in it, i only say that as i can see an online mag being one of those projects that start with good intentions but become too large for a small team of writers.

Defo count me in though i'd love to be involved in this project.

Perhaps we should compile a list of jobs we need and people to do them:

i like the idea of a mag or news letter but the idea as above would be excellent

online mag wouldnt be to hard and like the yoco one doesnt have to b e very big, wouldnt be hard to get content and permission of the forum and members either.

id offer some help on website side or what ever but no good with articles lol

Perhaps we should get users to tick a box on registration that says we can use images and text, all current users could add their selves to a poll list maybe?

would this be binding?

basically say Dave started a project, and his name wasn't on the list, then we arn't allowed to use his data, but we can politly ask for him to "sign the disclaimer" on a specified poll thread, all users registering after a certain date would have the option on registration.

oohh, i like, mods, admin, anyone with a story to tell, we should have a readers section, people can email in articles and we can screen them then publish them if they are good enough.

could we get a mods views on this?

It seems that nobody can decide between a mag and a newsletter. they can't be any more different so if something like this was to be done we would have to decide what it is going to be.

I prefer the idea of a magazine, Newsletters lack content.

Well it seems the majority want to go for a Mag, i'm quite happy with that, infact after looking at the sites people have mentioned it doesn't seem such a hard task.

Whatever is decided then I'm up for helping in any way I can. I am good a web design, finding anything over the internet, writing etc.

It seems there is no other free online fiat magazine, closest thing i have found is:

Who are our target audience, obviously we want to appeal to everyone but this can be very hard, it would be nice to have;

a section for general fiat news

a section about new fiats, problems solutions etc,

A secotion about Fiat Modification, Guides how to's etc

A section about fiat history, older fiats, aimer more at restorers, loaded with info about 'fire' engines etc...

Readers Questions?

Descktop Wallpapers? (high quality images, stamped with out logo?)

the list can be endless.

idealy we need writers that specialise in each section, or at least that are interested in each section.

For example i know nothing about old fiats, and not alot about the new ones if i'm honest, but as i am mid kitting out my car, i am more at home writing about that,
There has to be one of us who works in a dealership, who can keep us upto date with all the insider knowlegde, and reveiws of the new cars (also to take nice pretty photos )

1.) i dont think we really want a max power copy,

fiat zine, efiat and such sound good, efiat is a good one as its onyl going to be an online mag right? when it gets popular you could also do an extended more packed version for small fee through paypal and such.
