Need i say my choice? lol

If i have been waiting over 2 years for my Mk2 UT then theres somthing about them!

as for the handling, personally i wouldnt give a damm!
Plenty of room for improvement!

The funny thing is that when i was working on my mates MK1 Golf GTI..............its the EXACT same set-up suspension and steering as UNOS!!!!

For the best use of Fiats ledgendary FIRE engine..........is in the Unos (y)

Either mk1 or mk2

Mk1 - much cooler and old skool looking
Mk2 - More "grown-up" but has the bigger engine (not that bigger is better)

Im just parital to my mk2's

out of the box, neither the UT or pgt handled amazingly, but fit a set of good suspension, some strut braces and this will soon sharpen them up. its a shame fiat didnt get the handling spot on when they made these cars. only down fall really.

I'd definately agree with this comment. The power is a little too much for a standard UT, boot it round a corner and it'll leave the road pretty quickly. A UT would definately benefit for a few relatively low cost upgrades. As for the brakes.....

Duncan, If you want a compromise of a mint mk1 uno turbo with mk 2mechanics, I have one for sale! 1988 F in White, standard looking but 160bhp mk running gear (professionally fitted) Suspension upgraded/lowered (for reasons above!) and poly bushed all round. A very very nice car, Racing uno development forces sale!! PM me if interested. Chris

both can be just as quick as each other. The Mk1 uno is superb. the engine is amazingly quick even as standard. the MK2 uno is very quick too but ide say the Mk1 is quicker and so would a number of people. ive owned both and my MK1 was defo quicker even with a dodgy turbo :)

The Punto GT is a more modern, better built car which will be alot more comfy to live with than an uno.

If you just want it for the strip then get the Uno. Its cooler and quicker as standard. Plus you can strip it out and make it as light as a feather and ital take off.

If your having it as a main car then i suggest you go for the punto GT as ital be better for longer journeys. its also a more modern engine with more avaliable parts which will wear out quicker with a daily drive.

Uno Turbo for some fun
Punto GT for a daily drive.

I didn't think you owned your Uno Turbo long enough for it to get to 60 mph :p
