Ive just put on a set of 17's on my MK 1 punto,Dave its a 1.2 16v sporting!,

i had to grind about 8mm off the rear arch,and shave the bumper bolts a wee bit,but its all clear and good now,fronts went on no bother,no mods needed,i havent had any passengers in back as yet,maybe then ill find a wee rubbing going on,will find out soon!!

also im lowered 35mm all round on a full g-max kit,pics will be added tomorrow,gonna clean her up a bit first!,lol!

so ditch the expensive tryed 16's,ignore the ever popular 15's,and get the grinder,hacksaw,file and teeth out,and get the 17's!!!

Might be ok for now, but it will put excess strain on the dirveshaft, transmission and wheel bearings, may be ok, but may f**k them up big time!

when i get my car, i think im going to have a set of 17's and a set of 14's and can swap depending on what im doing eg- FF meet, cruising or going out for a good old thrash

Man i couldnt be a***d to jack the car up all the time to swap wheels, lol!

lol, but will only take 15 mins, just do it when you wash your car

I hate jacking my car up i always scrape my knuckles - its a bugger to jack up when lowered - 65mm!
