Had tints on my old car about the same as you got. Got pulled by police and VOSA inspector came out and I had to get them off there and then. I soon enough ggot the rears off to as I hate just having the rears done cos it makes car look like a van. I think either get all the windows done and hope you dont get pulled or dont bother at all. I heard of someone who had a bump and had tints. The police came out with VOSA person and this persons insurance was declared void as they said he may not of been able to see out of the car.

I had my dark tints removed from the front and replaced with a legal tint.

I can sweet talk a PC but the insurance company asked if my tints were legal and they are the boss when it comes to what you can do to your car. Apart from not getting a payout if your insurance is void you can also get done for driving without insurance as well as the original offence.

im sure it something like 75% of light must be let through front windows but the back and rear window can be any gradient you want them to be. we got pulled for the tints we had on our disco and the front tints let through 70% light or somthing stupid so they gave us 14 days to get them off and tell them or get a fine and our car impounded. easy way to get round it is just to get priivacy glass.
