So I have a Punto HGT (newly) road legal rally car.

The paint is not much good to be pair. Okay, but very basic outer top coat with minimal preparation. Does the job.

I have been mulling over a few options.

1/ Redo the white properly and include the Italian flag stripe.
2/ Redo the white properly and have Martini graphics.
3/ Yellow bumpers, skirt, spoiler, wheels and cage with a violet body. The same scheme I had on my PPC £999 Challenge BMW 320i from 2010 and my MGB GT.

I think violet and yellow would be the most fun but also the most work.

So what do you think?

I love the Martini colours so that's what I voted for.

The trouble is it has been done so many times to all makes and models even though I have a Martini race suit I don't think it would suit the car. Also some of the roof stripe has peeled off. I guess the rally boys are slower than the dual carriageway. :D

I know what you mean, and I must admit I always associate Martini stripes with Porsche.
How about classic Abarth with a matte bonnet and roof, or has that been done to death as well?

I'm guilty of doing that myself...

...to my Bravo and close to my ill-fated Cinquecento.

Ah a Bravo HGT, I have such fond memories. I had an R plate (98) 147 from new, had her for 12 years till the head gasket went and sadly I let her go to the scrappies, I've regretted that ever since.

I have to be honest and say those colour combinations are something that only the owner can admire

How about a full Italian flag punto?

I like the F1600 wide body to. We'll have to see how this Covid-19 situation ends up. I'm putting the rally car in the classifieds today sadly as I'm out of work and zero hour contract means I have no income, sick pay or am entitled to any government hand out. :bang:
