Basically im looking to buy a new car next year and im just looking at what is avaliable on the market at the moment! I currently have a 1.8 16v, 133hp fiat stilo. They will need to be the equivalent spec or higher. Which will need to include, climate control, electric/heated seats, leather interior, reversing sensors, cruise control, centre console/arm rest, xneon lights and not so compulsary panoramic sunroof, rain sensors, 17/18" alloys...
I am looking to get a car that produces around 200hp, i am on a budget so the cheaper the better (ie. i will be haggling with the dealer to get them down to jamjar prices
) as we all like to think we've got a good deal when buying a car. But what i have to bare in mind is i am currently changing jobs and might be commuting soon so i might need to go for a diesel instead of the usual petrol burner.
I dont want to compromise on comfort or build quality and i will be test driving alot next year, as this will be my 1st ever new car; as my stilo was a ex demostrator and i will be keeping hold of it for a while.
So here goes here is my short list so far (not all fiat im affraid):
New Fiat Stilo - either abarth or multijet
Fiat Punto Grande - HGT/Turbo or multijet
Mini Cooper - Limited edition GP 218hp or john cooper special 210hp
New Volkswagen Golf - GT TDi 140hp (after speaker with various tuning gods a mild tune/remap for this engine would be 200hp with the capabilities or remaping it upto 275hp) and the Gti 200hp
New Vauxhaul Corsa - VXR (which is based on the same platform as the punto grande but i do like the styling more as it has more shaper edges like my stilo; which is very simular it varient the astra) - I cant believe i would ever find myself considering buying a corsa; as i previously though everything about them was blam!
New Renault Clio - Sport/182 (Im not to keen on the new clio styling but i enjoyed driving the old 182 as the performance is brilliant; but again the interior is blam and its just a bit to common!)
Tell me your opinions, what you would go for and maybe any suggestion for other cars... Considering i want something a simular size to my stilo or smaller!
