1st poll so if i do it wrong just keep with it(y)
(Timed out lol, 20 seconds too late with the poll sorry peeps)

1997 1.1L punto 55s
Been doing just over 60mpg so feul's not been an issue.
However, lately i've had a few issues. Most of which Mpg is now nearer 18 mpg.

I have around 1 gallon of feul left in the tank.
I need to make a 20-30 mile journey - normally i could make 3 trips (just) with what i have left.

IF i fill up before i get on motorway it will cost me £12 MORE than if i fill up at my destination. Money is tight At the moment.

Once i set off there is not a feul station on the way, so it's either before motorway or after....

Ouch 18mpg? Thats like Sitting at the Rev limiter every single gear

Sounds like a Lamba Issue - its over fueling
At 18mpg Which ever way your wasting fuel

Also when low on fuel - its illegal to breakdown on the motorway with no fuel

So Just wack some in before you go - play it safe always

But get the Fueling issue sorted as well

Don't fill it; add just a minimum amount to assure not running out - then fill it at the lower priced source. Are you sure 18 mpg is correct? Are you doing the math correctly?
