mm you can not compair the two cars, ones a ltd addition and the other is cheaper, maybe if it was stilo vs XXX(same specs and price as a stilo. then maybe).

PS a friend on mine has a focus and it looks cheap on the inside, compare it to the inside of the stilo and it come no were near

*insert correct cr*p were needed :D

I think my view has been said by a few before so I won't repeat anything.

Alex, where are these 22K+ 'Cort Cossies? Maybe 15K+ but anyone selling for 22K+ is on drugs.

Next time you see a focus... use your eyes, and see how good it looks!!!!!

V6 in that... ha wouldn't mind a go in it myself!

It looks about as good as most Fords..... not at all then.

The last Ford that was an everyday car that you would see frequently on the road in England that I liked the look of was the MkIII Cortina. Tell a lie, the Probe wasn't bad looking. Ford have always made ugly cars, it's what they do.

I would probably never own a focus even if it was the best car on the road, for the same reason I wouldn't own a Golf.

stilo abarth vs focus RS, whats worse is that some of you think the stilo is better! LOL

next it'll be the stilo abarth vs the Alfa 147 GTA.. crazy people.

Can I just remind you all that this muppet can't even drive yet and is in the throws of puberty as we speak. Come back when you can drive Samico and we'll discuss you 1.0 Fiesta or whatever sh*tbox you have the misfortune to end up in.

Oh yeah, and you really must cut those apron strings. You can't breast feed forever.

I would buy a rusted out Fiat Uno with no engine before buying a Ford of any kind, but if I could get an RS Focus for the same price as a rusted out Uno with no engine, I might buy the RS Focus, sell for a high profit, then buy an Abarth 3 door.

Any denomination of Focus is ugly IMO, not just cos I hate Fords, because they have made some nice looking cars that I wouldn't buy.

I suddenly have great respect for you! :)

Right, been doing some homework last night, and these are the apparent reasons why the Stilo is rubbish compared to every other car on the planet [note, these are not my views :)]

1. JTD is unrefined and noisy;

2. The seats are just awful, giving you bad back and neck [never experienced that, personally];

3. The steering wheel does not have RACK and REACH [weird, coz mine does?!];

4. The chassis can't cope with the power;

5. The 2.4 is underpowered for its size - apparentely, torque is meaningless and out-and-out power is everything [yeah, right];

6. The interior looks like a rhino's arse;

There are more, but I don't have the MSN transcript to hand ;).

Steve, this Samico has driven every car under the sun on a private estate, so he knows what he is talking about :p - oh, and he already owns a Sei, so at least he has taste :rolleyes:

And no doubt the reviewer of the Stilo had it on long-term, and was comparing it to same cars in the same class/price range.

Discuss.....

Dont get me wrong i dont mind the focus and did consider it when i was buying a new car but then they are everywhere if you were to go for a walk now i am certain you will see a focus. As for where i work there are around 16 focus's in the car park and guess what 1 stilo! :p

I agree. I get to drive a fair few fords working in a ford garage and when i'm driving them i'm just another ford driver driving one of the millons of fords on the road. Although i'm seeing more sei's on the road lately i still like to think of myself as a minority (for want of a better word). I'm not saying my cars unique but personally i'd have a fiat again everytime.

IMO Roger or samico could be the prime minister when they grow up...cause they both speak out of there arse's :D

So is this what Samico claims then?

1). Yeah, right, whatever, when it is moving you hardly know its a diesel :confused:

2). Hmmm, I think not, several people have actually commented on how comfy the seats are.

3). Sure you were in a Stilo?

4). Errrr... yeah, right, cos you pushed it right to the chassis' limit then?

5). Torque is nothing eh? Tell you what, go study engineering for 4years then tell me that, boy!

6). Well if the Stilo's interior is crap, so must be the majority of VAG & BMW cars which have similar textured material.

Samico, when you're free, why not come and see me, I'll lend you my car for a day or two so you can give it a proper appraisal, bring Roger too.

NOT :mad:

but you're still wrong. :)
I've been wrong many times before, and I will be wrong many times again.

I drove a Focus hire car for a couple of days, 1.6 auto. It was nice enough to drive and handled very well- I was shocked by it! Also it didnt have any rattles and seemed well put together (For the 2-3days I had it ;) ). But these points aren't everything, I felt totally invisable behind the wheel which puts me off it totally :eek:

Having never driven a Stilo, I cant comment on it, but without a doubt its much better looking. I mean a boring old Ford cant possibly be better looking than a cool Italian :cool:
