Is it wrong that I would never stop and help a BMW driver?
But yes, normally I would stop. I carry a big bag of tools in the boot just in case I break down, and my car has been solidly reliable. Sod's law I guess. Even with a blowing HG, I was able to carry on to somewhere convenient.
Of my encounters, I went down a dark country road and came across a Vectra with almost complete electrical failure, so the lights were pretty dim. Luckily, I have a torch obsession, so I was able to light up the area pretty well. Went to tow him to safety, but it was a damn automatic, and with no power, it was stuck in 'park'. I know there is a special key you can use to unlock the transmission, but the driver had no idea where that was.
And a Peugeot the other time. Peugeot are complete retards when it comes to putting together a tool kit for the car. The wheel brace was integrated into the back of the scissor jack winder, so there was no chance the guy could get the wheel off. I could put more torque on the bolt with my teeth! I got my 'proper' Fiat wheel brace out and had him moving again in no time.
But still, if I see a broken down BMW, I shout, "You should have bought an Alfa!", and then I drive on...
