Most Un-reliable car ever?

Just a bit of clarity, you can't blame a car for being unrealiable when you have either bought a car that has been treated badly in the first place (Serin) or you have forgotten to service it at the suggested service periods (it's not the cars fault that your forgetful).

when did i say the car wasnt looked after?

i only said it was old and green :chin:

trouble all the time, in a garage most weeks of ownership, 95 (M reg) punto 55s, engine rebuilt twice! Gearbox was crop, the list of problems can go on, and on.... etc,etc.... although it manged 130k until i parted with it then sum unlucky bugger brought it off me (for more than i paid for it a year later :D ) and it completely fook'd up fews weeks later! Maybe it was just a bad un'

there great cars you judt have to find a good un (y)

Ford escort and fiesta, funnily enough both were red! boy was that escort bad, I got it for £30 from an auction lol and it only did about 100 miles before I scrapped it, smoke coming out like mad! so embarassing. I also bought a Mazda 626 & 323 and they were very reliable despite covering more about 150k. Most reliable has been an Uno, atleast fiats are also cheap to fix if they go wrong.

mine was a clio with a renault 5 gt turbo engine conversion lol

a totaly of........26 miles in a year due to it kept pressurising the sump and blowing oil out the dipstick! changed all sorts and eventually thought "sod this im getting rid for something sensible and more practical!"

lmao, so i got a uno turbo :D

Dunc

MG Any of them.

I had an MG ZS120+ 8 times in 6mths from brand new in the garage (Sold after 9 from stress)

My friend had an MGZR 160 and the head blew after 300 miles. Luckly it was a company car as he never had all the faults fixed after 3yrs.

Not sorry to miss MG-Rover as they where crap!

Well, the Fiat Ritmo (Strada) actually self-destructs.

There is a constant struggle of car vs human to keep the vehicle on the road. The car wins 95 % of all fights.

i noticed someone said lada, but i have owned three ladas and they have never broken down (but the samara i have now, has snapped a shocker whilst driving).

try driving a tipo with the digital dash, and the dash stops working on the M1 whilst doing 90 mph.

does this mean u cant get done for speeding?

Has to be our Citroen BX GTi, spheres went and engine leaks to much oil, my father had it from new and now becoming to become increasingly rare, its still around though, although unusable and stored in his business warehouse! - Its treated as a pet now - owwwww those seats.

Astra TD is also shocking! - and no i don't think it does have a turbo!

my boyfriends old ford orion, that was like omg it wuld chudder along up hill he had twin exhausts wich made it sound like a tractor, u culd here him half a mile away, on journeys fechin his son we wuld brake down even though it had petrol, the rust was un beleivable, he modded it to the max dun the boot out but it had 2 go he now owns an mgzr mk2 2.0 turbo and its waaaayyy better :bang:

My boyfriend had a R5 Dimma Turbo for two odd years,he probaly only drove it a couple of months in total.

We've seen some unlucky bloke driving it around near Chelmsford.

Got to be the worst cars ever (yes even after a nova) :p

has to be my old 1984 Ford Escort 1.3 which was forced upon me by financial constraints. Had it for 4 years - never serviced it once due to my thinking that if the car wasn't going to be nice to me then i wasn't going to be nice to it!

Eventually traded it for a pizza.

because ive been around awhile on the planet and in the motor trade,i have come across some heaps!! first has to be the opel coupe 1200.the biggest nail of an engine ever.and thats when they are new! this one had 50000 miles,no floor, perferated panels, steering that had over 1.5 ins play,1st and 3rd gear only.and my colleague actually gave money for it!! kicked his butt i did. second, lada samara.crap.lada riva a lot better and built like tanks.next, yugo's,after 2 years old, value zero! absolute crap.citroen XM.known as land marks in the trade.cannot shift them.an electrical nightmare.rover 800.2.0 t series engine very unreliable.turbos worst still.2.7V6 has a tendancey to blow head gaskets and costs lots to sort.2,5KV6,had porous heads.rover sent heads back to the factory whilst cars in for servicing.kept it hush, hush until some one spilt the beans.most fords.hate them!!! BL CRAP!! THERE ARE PLENTY MORE!!

You traded your Escort in for a Pizza? The guy who gave you the pizza was robbed :D

renault megane coupe sport, windscreen wipers grew a seperate brain and decided when and where to work!! took it back to dealers, who got there 'electrician' to have a look at it,then a few months later, the fuse board went, took it to a renault dealership(as warranty had finished) who took great delight in telling me that the board has to be shipped from france, and would cost me £600 plus labour!!!! when i asked what would cause the board to blow,i was told that one of the electrics had not been earthed to any of six electronic earth points...... damn electrician!! only kept the car 12 months :bang:

total costs:
car purchase £6500
insurance £1150
repairs £2450
plus consumables £?????

total for 12 months ownership......£10,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

damn me puntobloke, you spent alot on that!!!!!! mind you as you know yourself andys like that with his car now, spend, spend, spend but i dont mind its his hobby.
