Re: Right or Left?

day to day normal driving, the safe right footed way.

only occasionally have I left footed, where its been safe to do so. When I used to race I occasionally used left foot, but it didnt really suit my style of racing

oops!! I missed this bit, and thought you mean left foot braking on a manual car. Automatic however, I still use right foot.

Actually quite like automatics, but only on a large car, and superb in heavy traffic!!

Re: Right or Left?

It should always be right foot only in an automatic, my grandad insists on using both feet and it jerks the car all over the place!

Re: Right or Left?

I'd like to get used to left foot braking for any track days etc and when I feel like going mad down country lanes. Very hard to get right though if you've never done it before.

Only tried it once and nearly spun the car

Re: Right or Left?

Unless you have an old rally ledgend with a 2million BHP Turbo with major lag where you need to keep the tubo spinning there is no point in left foot breaking it jsut ****s the car up...... although a do rev match and clutchless shift when slowing down :P

Re: Right or Left?

Have tried left foot braking and it just didn't feel right plus i was over braking.
Think most of us that have driven manuals then go to automatic will naturally right foot brake as it is habit!!
