i used to, as i used to smoke 20 a day so i wasnt too worried if i was in the car but since ive now quit for 7months the car has stayed smokefree and i took the seats out dismantled them and washed them a few times. and i scrubbed the roof lining loads. i decided it is a really stupid thing to do to a car you "love".

Take an ashtray out then. Why would I want my car (as a non-smoker) covered in someone else's fagash? Geuine question btw :)
the stilo has many old baccy tins in it for ashtrays, 1 for each seat infact. Never used the car ashtrays as it looks much nicer with unused ashtrays when its all be cleaned when you come to sell the car..

Would never have thought the minimal ash would actually get on your car if you were following someone who is 'flickin', i'm not saying it doesn't but can't say i've ever noticed it happening personally but i guess i'm not looking :p

As a smoker though, i can appreciate the annoyance, at home it is a constant battle with dust as is the inside of the car.

mate congrats on quitting. I imagine it's one of the hardest things to do so well done

its legal aslong as its just you. when you have a passenger it becomes a public place and regardless of wether they smoke or not, its against the law.
That seems a bit of a grey area, as a PRIVATE car is considered exactly that, PRIVATE. However, should a passenger politely request that the driver not smoke...see where I'm going?

Anywhoo - my lil' Brum is a non-smoking car. I'm not a smoker, never have been and have suffered sat behind my dad smoking for 21 years!! (still very occasionally a back seat passenger in his car). In fact, I've now removed the front ashtray. Not taken the back one out as it doesn't appear to ever have been used and the lid doesn't stay shut properly without it lol.

The car has been used by at least one smoker, as I found a fag end under the rear seat when dropping them. Also found a small cowboy figure under the spare lol

NO way, I dont smoke at all my mates do but no way in my car, its smelly and bad for your/my health.... on the up side they all go in a fagging friends car which leaves mine smelling better, going faster and doin more mpg oh and there is always a space for ladies that dont smoke ;)
