Hi All
My Fiat Panda dualogic instruction booklet reads important not to park in neutral, can anyone explain why?

Probably because you should never leave a car parked out of gear.
With automatics the gearbox should be locked in 'Park', with manuals it should be in some gear or other, with the handbrake on - or handbrake off if you are leaving it on the flat for any length of time.

If you are parked on a hill in neutral and the handbrake fails, what do you think may happen? :D

Hi
i have always driven automatic cars, they must not be left in netural. Leaving it in park safeguards it from rolling away if you accidently release the handbrake, or accidently forget that it is an automatic car, which a lot of manual drivers tend to do. My husband drives a manual and when he borrows my car he still feels for the clutch!!!. Leaving it in park prevents unwanted deaths and accidents.

To stop a Panda with dualogic, simply bring the car to a halt and take out the key :) Don't touch the lever.
