My partner after 2 mths waiting gets her Eleganza next Saturday, she can't wait. Anything that she should be looking out for, any common problems encountered.

Thanks

locking fuel cap, dont leave the dealership without it!
and it appears the boot light is very desired too!!!
after we picked up ours it took a week to find an annoying knocking noise from going round corners, was the box from the locking nuts, left in a door pocket.

just like any new car, check her over carefully for any marks and defects that may have been "missed" on the PDI, it's easier to get the dealer to accept a fault like scratches etc if you haven't even left the showroom yet. there was a post in the GPunto section about a dealer covering scratches with felt tip pen!

Are the fuel caps extra?

I think most people paid £10-£14.00 for a locking fuel cap. Mine was £14.00 I think. Keeps the urinators out of ya fuel tank... :)

Is it a red one? They're the fastest, y'know... ;-)

Tyre pressures. I've never come across a dealer who gets these right yet and it is critical from a safety and tyre wear angle.

on a similar vein, how do you feel about getting the tracking done independantly? i just have a feeling if the pressures arent right on, how about something as adjustable as that?

The little plastic cover for the rear towing eye on mine has been painted by a five year old with touch up paint (wrong colour). This i did not notice for several day's, but i let it go cause the dealer was 120 miles away. I know i shouldn't have, but i was so pleased for stealing it for £5885 (dynamic), i will sort it myself at some point, but it backs up what you say about dealers.
