i have been sending my panda :spin:to fiat for servicing for the past 1.5 years and did not even bother to open the engine compatrment until recently.

well i do not have any reason to do that anyway as the coolent etc were replace by fiat when it due.

recently when i decided to take a look what under neat the hood to my surprice i notice the the half of rubber that kept the water from coming into engine compartment was missing ( its the one nearer to the front wiper on front passenger side)

i just wondering why fiat want to "steel" it from my car . confronted them about this issue...surprisingly they are not surprise:confused:. they said alot of the customer do complain about the rubber but it is actually a feature and all panda only have one side of the rubber

can all of you check your engine compartmrnt to see whether it is true

Fiat even challange me to check panda at the show rooms?

here you go from the eleganza:

Nasty bad Fiat dealers stealing strips of rubber from cars:shakehead

Ahhl...you are supposed to lift the bonnet & check oil/water weekly, you do know this dont you?

well i just look at my temp gauge only, as long as it does'nt goes up more than 3/4 it should be ok. 1.5 years, 3 times servicesing Fiat does for me to fill water etc...
that why i only realised now ;)

that why i thought why must they take one side only??

frankly i think it could be because of ventilation

Perhaps, now you've got the hang of lifiting up the bonnet you might want to check your oil more than once every six months?:)

Sometimes, without oil, engines die...

Your manual states 'regular' checks as described at rear of the book. You have a certain amount of responsability to maintain your cars running aswell.
Must be annoying when the washer bottle is empty..waiting for it to be filled at next service...then again they're bloody awkward to fill anyway!

I can only assume as Turboned said its a 'water run off'...plus saving a few pennies at the same time;)
