Hey gang (y)

I was wondering if any of you had fitted lowering springs to your Panda?

I've been enjoying the car alot recently, and its not bad to drive - much better than the latest Vauxhall Corsa and Ford Fiesta I test drove before settling with the Panda. I cannot help but think that the car would be much more fun to drive if it was lowered a little. Doing this really transformed my old Cinquecento from a boring drive to a little go-kart :D

Can anyone recommend a good brand / make to go for? The last time I lowered a car it was on my Cinq and the springs were rock hard, and this took its toll on the car after a while - I believe these were Pi springs (n)

So yeah if anyone can recommend some lowering springs which will still be reasonably soft / springy, please let me know.

Cheers :slayer:

Eibachs have always had good reports from the Coupe guys. Apparently they do the pro kit for the Panda.

I have fitted Pi lowering springs to my '04 Panda Dynamic and 175/70/13T Falken s-828 tyres on the front which greatly improves the handling and high speed stability.

If anyone finds shortened shock absorbers to go with the lowering springs please let me know.

(y) Interesting combination - was it a big job to swap the springs? Presume no more than removing front strut and fitting spring clamps, dismantle and refit. The back ones should be easier.
This is just what I have in mind. Feels too top heavy as standard and on the 155 tyres it's a bad combination.

I changed all 4 springs in about 2 hours at the side of the road, but i'm a mechanic and i had the tools. Spring clamps are easy to get hold of for about £30 but be very careful compressed springs are very dangerous. Best to get someone who knows what they are doing if you don't.

The tyres i did at work in my lunch break, they make a big difference over the standard Conti tyres. Advisable to fit the same tyres to the rear wheels aswell. i got mine from www.mytyres.co.uk You can have them delivered to your house or to a fitting station you choose from the list of avaliable garages in your area.

me thinks a group forum buy sounds good :)
maybe we could get discount:D
oldschool work your magic ;)
time to raid the piggy bank:D
just a thought, but does changing the spring on a car under warranty infringe on the conditions, never bothered reading the smal print:) just enjoy driving the green meanie;)
