I work nights so do a lot of driving in the dark. Almost every night a oncoming driver will flash there lights at me i can only assume they think i have my full beams on anyone else get this ?

Once or twice ( I don't drive much at night these days ) the Panda lights are pretty bright and if you leave them on the '0' setting, go over a bump, your lights look they are on full. Or round a gentle left hand bend. Drop them down to '1' setting and it shouldn't happen - its just enough on most roads.

Is it at the same point each time? Then blame the road. The driver is probably flashing anyone and everyone every time oncoming lights make their eyes strain. Wimp.

If you are concerned, do the garage door test.

Better that than the Marea, which no matter what bulbs I put in them or how I set them I don't think they ever are bright enough even on main beam.

Over hear, if you get a double flash either from the front lights, or someones brake lights, it is warning you that there are les flics hiding somewhere up ahead. Totally against the law to do that, but you know, the French can stand up to their government.

Are you sure they're not just warning you for an oncoming police radar? That's what it would mean in Romania at least ;)

No i don't drive with the front fogs on and all the speed cameras are fixed so i know were they are ( not that i ever break the speed limit anyway ) will try putting them on 1 like Cheesemaster suggested and see what happens.

If your boot is 'heavier' than normal, or you carry lead-filled socks or an assault rifle on the back seat then your headlights may point up a bit. Mine seem to be set on the 1 setting, but I live in near Portsmouth now, and dare not go out at night. ;)

Absolutely. The infamous Paulsgrove Riots when a pedatrician (doctor) was mobbed and savaged.

I've taken a felt-tip marker to the back of the car, and the badge on the bootlid now reads 'Fanda'.

That should fool 'em for a while... :p
