My dad has a m/jet panda and is just over a year old and is due its first service.

Our local fiat dealers have all become renault! however they have written offering to still honour warranty and will carry out the services. However they ave asked a ludicrous amount in my opinion of the 1st service, so what should we be lookin to pay?

Surely this is just a oil and filter change?

a lot of dealers offer fixed price servicing, have a ring around. in addition, in the back of the service booklet will be a listing showing what items will be checked and/or replaced. what was the price quoted?

Depending on mileage either of these would do

Well as i say the dealer having changed to renault sent a letter stating that we would get half price labour on the service so dad went to book it in, asking how much it would be, and was told £180 ish, he queried this esp regarding the half price labour offer, they said that included the offer! So basically the first service on the car is according to the dealer well over £200 usually!

For such an economical car, in terms of purchase price and general running costs i cannot see this being correct!

I think i have seen elsewhere that is currently a fiat dealer who will carry it out for £99 as per teh fixed pricing menu!

I hate how some dealers just really try and rip you off!

Thanks for the info tho ppl.

In Belgium, I had my 1st year service done (Multijet, 20000km, at an official garage) for 50 euros (about £30).
