Should this Panda have an odd injector on the 1st cylinder?

I took them out in an atempt to clean them as im experiencing engine cut out problems, wish I took pictures now!

I have all new ignition cables and spark plugs, 2 new coil packs, she has improved but still triggering codes on the scanner, injector open and ignition coil, surley its got to be fuel?

A good friend of mine had similar.

It turned out to be that he had knocked the wiring of the injectors whilst changing the plugs.

He thoroughly checked all the wiring for them to discover the wiring had been lightly damaged.

I always lift the injector wiring out of the way before removing the plugs so its never in the way.

I went through every connector making sure each one was tight and had connection my guess its one of the fuel injectors that is faulty or just simply clogged?

coil and injector at the same time would be unlikely but not impossible unless the First fault was ignored

this fault does turn up mainly on the 1.1 and causes the engine to cut out over bumps.

is there any pattern when it cuts out ?


you can eliminate most of the system without buying anything by swapping the parts around

say you have a problem coil cylinder 2

and you swap the HT leads between cylinder 2 and 3

if the fault stays the same the HT leads are okay

and if the faulty swaps to cylinder 3 then the lead on 3 is faulty

then do the same with the spark plug and so on.

its rare for an injector to fully fail on the panda

Code P0351, P0352 Ignition Coil A/B Primary/ secondary circuit

this is the same or similar issue that affects the 1.1, which is caused by a pin poor connection at the ECU. Being a 1.2 I would suspect a broken or damaged wre between ECU and coil pack, get a continuity check done to confirm.
