Good morning. I'm a new member of the forum but I have previously owned a 08 grande punto. Unfortunately that car gave me lots of problems and did put me off buying another fiat ever. However, here I am looking for a really nice panda. Growing up my parents always had the older pandas.
Anyway the reason for my post is I'm wondering if anyone is selling a panda 100hp? I'm based in chesterfield, Derbyshire. Willing to travel for a really good one. Many thanks and I'm looking forward to becoming a panda member

The 100HP is good and nice to live with but -
Front bumper costs (at least) £600 plus paint against £60 for a "standard" bumper in primer. You will not find one on eBay.
Timing belt is 2x the cost.
Clutch is 2x the cost
Front struts 2x the cost
Front bottom arms - guess what...

The diesels can be remapped to close on the same power and are likely to have more useful acceleration. Brakes can be upgraded with Alfa 146 rotors and calipers.

...which gets you a weasel with reasonable performance & second-hand brakes .
AutoItalia did a buyers guide on the "Peoples Pocket Rocket" (their words) in issue 304 - worth a look for those with petrol rather than Dr Diesels smelly filth-liquid in their veins ?

The 100HP was tremendous value when new; you could drive one out of the showroom ten years ago and still have change out of £8000.

The problem is that most are by now well used and have been through the hands of several owners; if you do happen to come across a good'un, you'll likely have to pay a premium price for it, which takes away what was once its strongest selling point.

Personally I'd look for a Suzuki Swift Sport instead; performance, ride & handling are way better and they'll likely have aged more gracefully too.

Thanks all. I can't seem to find a decent one. I think I will just look for a normal panda. I'm sure I will get a nice example for a good price. Let the hunt begin

Good condition Panda 169s are becoming quite popular, but they are all at last 10 years old so they will have age-related issues. The later Euro 5 specs are not as nice to use (overly high top gear and poor mid range power).

There's a few 100HPs on eBay but you'll have to travel and there's nothing below 80K miles at reasonable cost. The main issue for me is that OEM wheels will almost certainly be egg-shaped. At £80 each to straighten plus refurb costs they are not cheap and they'll get bent again.

I just bought a particularly nice 169 Panda. But it was strong money because of that. But they are out there if you are prepared to look.
