Hi guys,

Recently became the owner of a Panda 100HP and this is my first Fiat.

I, stupidly, thought I was capable of changing the stock radio to the one from my previous vehicle - but now i'm not sure.

After watching guides online of how to remove the original - I pulled it out and disconnected, wired up my old radio and checked it worked which it did! Great I thought.

I then proceeded to remove the cage from the original - place in the Fascia I'd bought and carry on like I have done previously. Once complete, I turned the ignition and radio was dead. I also then noticed that upon turning the ignition, there is a slight delay before the dashboard lights up - and now the clock and date reset everytime I drive it; as well as the mileage always flashing.

Because I also lost power to the Climate Control and the diagnostic plug doesn't work - I assumed it was the fuse! Obviously rushed out to buy one; but i've just tried it now and it's made zero difference.

I'm more than happy to go to a garage to get advice - but naturally I wanted to see if anyone had experienced, or something similar, so I could try and fix myself or at least go to a garage having an idea of what was wrong.

Suggestions welcome! Thanks

Have you tried unplugging all you handy work to see if the problem is the head unit or it's wiring or has it caused a problem elsewhere.

One of the most common issues with wiring in aftermarket head units to any car is getting the switched and constant lives the wrong way around.

Thanks for the reply!

I did indeed remove everything I had done including going back to the factory radio - which did not make any difference.

I'm sure that is what it is - but I would have thought in undoing it and changing the fuse, that not much else could have really occured? I'm probably being naive!

You say fuse but there will be more than one, one will supply
power with ign on the other with it off to keep the memories
alive.

lot of iffs here

if you mean no power to the OBDII socket

and if its the same as a standard panda. I have no diagrams for the 100HP

the fuse isnt in either fuse boxes but is directly on the body computer itself

normally a 10A

possibly this one but dont quote me
