Technical 2007 Panda: Can rear fog light and reverse light operation be switched?

That looks like it. This is how I listed them after testing:

right side top to bottom
BRK - green/white
FOG - red/green
COM - black
IND - brown/white
FOG - white

left side top to bottom
FOG - yellow/black
BRK- green/white
COM - black
IND - pink/white
REV - grey

I'll attach my photos as well but the labels I put on the wires may obscure the colours

same order just up side down pin 1 at the bottom

Let me confirm the function are the same. Need to check which pins do what on the body computer

Hi all,

I've finally had some responses from my enquiries for quotes (some real jaw-droppers in there  ) and I'm hoping someone here can clear up a bit of confusion I have about fitting a new left-side rear light cluster for a LHD vehicle to my car.

I would've assumed that the circuit pattern on the left-side cluster for a LHD vehicle would match the right-side cluster for my RHD vehicle, in which case the wires would plug into incorrect positions. Is this not the case?

I'm sorry if this is unclear, I've tried my best to explain myself and hope someone can understand what I'm asking. Please let me know if I need to clarify further.

Thanks again for all the assistance.

RHD LHD
1 13 1
15 15 2
7 7 3
5 5 4
11 11 5

I dont see how without modifying the wiring either at the body computer end or light cluster end anything will alter

swapping pins 1 and 13 via software would be nice. But dont see anyone has succeeded in doing this.

according to the wiring diagrams that match your car. the LHD and RHD clusters are wired differently.

Of course I could be wrong. I have checked everything I can using the information on elearn. The harness runs are not compete on elearn. However it looks like the reverse and fog take difference paths to the front.

It appears not from MES simulation. There is only off or on in the MES for earlier cars. Hardware wie there should be no issue and I'd still be surpprised if the wiring loom is different. Maybe they ued a different body computer firmware for LHD/RHD in the earlier models.
I don't know what would happen if you tried using the 2012 MES selection on an earlier car. You might mess up the proxi alignment totally.

Yes I initially thought there were two groups of wires running down the right and splitting at the right rear light fitting, but I think one is the overhead brake light.

It looks like the wires for the left run down the centre of the car to the boot then divert to the left light fitting.

probably easier and safer to install two new wires as per Txuchin from one cluster to the other tagging it under the heading ?

DREAL have confirmed that they want to inspect the vehicle so I need the headlights and rear light fittings changed to the lhd versions aand I have ordered the parts.

If anyone can recommend themselves or someone else located in the Le Havre to Caen area who can perform the installation for me could you please PM me with details and costing.

Many thanks

Thanks for all of the advice regarding my question.

I changed the headlights myself and had the rear lights changed by a local mechanic to get them through the inspection.
