Hi all,

I've been lurking and learning a great deal since I picked up my 2008 Panda 169 a couple of weeks ago. I've fitted a cig lighter and a few minor bit n bobs, but frankly I've been lucky in picking up a low mileage, well looked after car which doesn't need much repair.

Now, I'm needing to add an aux-in cable to the factory single din Blaupunkt cd/radio... and i'm unsure if this model has the aux feature accessable when the yellow plug is fitted?

i do like the size and simplicity of the double din version which i think has mostly been referenced when attaching an aux-in lead. With the right facade - would this fit into the hole in the dash and allow me to lose the useless parcel box storage? I'm assuming this version accepts aux-in as standard but would i need a loom or have to consider the canbus?

Having read much around stereos I see the double din aftermarket models appear to stick out, so i'm content to stick with purpose build Blaupunkt stock - if I can add an aux for streaming.

I've also been looking at the Blaupunkt Parma 160 BT but haven't a clue what looms and facia would be needed, or even if it would fit properly?

Apologies for the repetition in asking after aux in, but i've been unable to find these specific questions answered. Links and recommendations much appreciated.

You can get the yellow plug lead with a 3,5mm plug on the end to plug into whatever, but as for streaming this i not possible
You can also get a box of tricks made by YATYOR and it's again a yellow plug job so simple to connect and it makes the head unit think you have connected a CD multi changer un comes up with CD on the radio display
The box of tricks has 3.5mm jack plug, usb and sd card slot
You can play pause forward back and stop your music by using the radio control buttons as if it was a CD playing
If your interested i have one of these knocking about somewhere as i used it with mine until i bought a double din with satnav video phone ...the list goes on

Oh, the streaming comment was my desire to have bbc sounds and acast (podcasts) from my phone coming out through the car stereo. Frankly, i'm happy with the look and sound of the factory stereo - i just need an aux for my phone.

Now i've finally been able to get the velcro fixed unit out of the dash i'll be hitting ebay over the next few days. If you do lay your hands on the proven YATYOR box, i'd be happy to relieve you of it for a fair price. Feel free to DM if found.

Ciao

I had the single din Blaupunkt unit in mine when I got it, replaced it with a Sony MEX-N4200BT soon after, which already came with the correct harness so was a drop in replacement save for the antenna connector (the cheapest one with bluetooth at the time, £59!). Very simple to do, just get some keys to remove the old one, unplug it, get a harness for whatever unit you buy, plug in and slot in.

The correct spelling is YATOUR my mistake

There are loads on eBay to suit your head unit, and they even do a Bluetooth one as well now.....so Happy days
