Could this be an ECU connector block issue?
no
but it soon will be if you spread the connectors by probing I side the connector.
Probing inside is normally a big no, no unless you have the proper equipment.
Could this be an ECU connector block issue?
no 5v with the connector disconnected and the ignition on
correct ?
battery negative is fine
Hi Guys! I really need your help! Yesterday I have changed the oil and oil filter in my Panda which has a 1.2 v8 FIRE engine. I changed other bits on the car as well at the same time, like spark plugs, valve cover gasket, thermostat, v-belt.
However, after starting up the car the red oil light didn't go away
Do you guys have some idea where should I look?
connector continues as a green wire
Retrace your steps..
What parts..and wiring.. did you disturb ?
The oil light could be a random error

are you sure
I thought it was White ?
they can be tricky to follow
was there a connector part way ?
Yes exactly. On the top of that It is jumping around and in mV.
Yes it’s a bright green wire for sure, the connector under the fuse box was fine.
Model year is 2005 and the thermostat is an older one which is built into the housing, no electrical connections to it. The wire is a light brown one which comes from the oil pressure sensor.
It only set apart once at under the fuse box.
is this he connector under the fuse box ?
good
one side should have the same colour wire as going to the sensor
should be here
with the oil switch disconnected there should be low ohms between either end
and not register anything between either end and the engine block
I believe I have checked it and it was 00.1 ohm, however I haven’t checked to the block. I will do it tomorrow.
its important to disconnect both ends when you test it. The oil switch is shorted to earth any wire with a path to earth will also measure low ohms
end to end low ohms
open circuit / no ohms between either end and the engine block
