Hi. Just joined the site so hello! My partner has a 59 plate Panda Eco. It's a great reliable car and starts and runs fine but recently the orange transmission/engine light has started flashing constantly and we lose power completely when trying to go above 60mph. Power comes back a few seconds later if you take your foot off the accelerator. It also happens when stationary and I rev the engine. Took it to a garage. They said it needed a new throttle box but this didn't fix it. Any ideas? It's a great little car and we want to hang onto it if possible. Cheers!

with the engine running, move the wiring harness by the ECU if the engine stumbles (mis-fire on 2 cylinders) this is the cause of the issue, pull up the wiring harness to take the weight off the ECU plugs and tie wrap it securely in position so it cannot move and there is no stress on the plug. Then due to a poor locking mechanism on the ECU, run a tie-wraps around the ECU to hold the plugs tight down on to the ECU.
