Hi all,
I have the same problem ,panda 2011, as in the video; mine is only at the right side, without the top break light, i.e. when I turn my right indicator light the right indicator works very weak and the break light operates like indicator light.
Im looking for temporal fix till I find a replacement conne (mine is burnt at the black wire), and I was wondering if the fix suggested in the video is fine as a temporal fix

The video:

Thanks in advanced,

its rare I have to replace

I normally clean them up and bend them back into shape with a dentist tool

both are normally permanent

I tried to clean and bend but it got me to the same place... That is the reasone I looked at the video, but Im not sure if its a safe (relatively speaking) fix.

done properly and carefully

soldered and heat-shrink

they last for ever and safe

been here a few times both the rear and headlight connectors. Never been a problem again.

Im sorry that I nag, but Im not sure I understand your method of fixing... I have zero experience with soldering. I tought about putting extra metal (like spikers wire) in between the gap created by the burn.

never tried it.

for me its easy enough to splice on a new connector

having little loose conductive strands of metal floating around would concern me slightly

I would class it more as a temporary get me home type of fix.

Update:
I open ir again, but this time I bent the metal pieces that inside the connector, where the black wire goe, toward mebut from the side that near the black wire and not from the side that near the lip of the connector. Bent till all of the 5 metal pieces are balanced. Worked perfect!
