Hi,

I have a clicking noise coming from behind the dash, from I think the heater? It only clicks for a few seconds after the car has been running for about five minutes.
I've read there is a common fault with heater flap that breaks? So you only have hot air? Or similar.

I have the proper air conditioning with the digital display.
Any help please? Can I fixed before it breaks??

Many thanks.

Select and deselect each of the air flow options, screen, face, feet. It is likely that one of these will cause the click, confirming the failure of its drive.

Better, if you can, grovel in the footwell and view them moving. Might need to remove some of the centre console panels. Hopefully just out of sync, rather than broken, which would need MultiECUscan to reset them. Although, if they're out of sync, you have to ask why? Could be a sticky flap, or signs of imminent failure.

There's a guy, Portsmouth/Southampton area I think, that has a fix for these, cheaper and easier than removing the dash. Search for the appropriate thread, if needed.

Many thanks for the info, I have attached an imagine of the part I think you are referring to. Please see attached..

Many thanks once again for all your help

That's one of the actuator gears.
If I understand it correctly, from other posts, the flap end, that sits in the middle of that gear may be the part that breaks, so a new method of attaching them together may be needed. From memory, I think you can see those gears under the dash, so hopefully possible to check if any of the teeth are broken.
