Hi all!

My Panda had a new exhaust fitted last week after the old one started blowing. Left the garage fine, drove it around the next day and all was fine. Last couple of days on starting it, it sounds like a slight rattle - hard to describe the sound, but just wondered if anyone else had experienced this, or knew what it could be?

It may not have been tightened up enough and is now rattling against the rear spring / axle.
Or, it could be a faulty exhaust and the internal baffles are rattling!
I'd take it back to where the work was done and ask them to check it out for you.

Sadly the quality of pattern part exhaust systems is very hit and miss. I'm guessing this was the rear silencer that was replaced and it was done by a fast fit place?

I've just fitted a new back silencer on my panda. It cost about £120 for a genuine Fiat part but was very easy to fit. Expensive maybe but it doesn't rattle and should last as well as the original

I think a u-bracket may just need tightening. I am taking it back to the garage tomorrow. They are a reputable garage (family friend runs it), so I’m sure they will get to the bottom of it. Just sounds like something is vibrating on initial start up, so maybe something has come lose after driving it.
