So I got a sticker to memorialise the epic trip to the NC 500 from south London
First part of the trip was preparing the car. I fitted a new clutch slave cylinder as the old one squeaked when hot. The I removed the rear seats and had a small platform made for the boot. With the front seats fully reclined it allowed a flat level that allowed us to blow up a double air bed that filled the car. I then covered the rear windows for privacy. I bought a frost cover for the front windows that I could tad and remove each night and morning.
Over the course of the week we covered over 1800 miles and over 40 hours of driving. I averaged 49.1mpg for the entire trip. That’s with two people and the rear of the car full of stuff. We went with a friend who had a van so at night we were able to put all our stuff that was in the car to the van.
Was a great trip. We saw seals and a pod of orca whales. Amazing to be one of the fastest cars on the road. We were surrounded by campervans.
